A long, long time ago… My dad and I made new special waterers for my chickens since their current waterers were too small. We built these new waterers using: 2″ PVC pipe, a checking hole (with cover), an elbow, cap, and poultry watering nipples.
1. collect the materials.
2. glue to the main pipe the cap, elbow, a smaller piece, and the checking hole to the smaller piece.

3. Drill holes in the bottom to screw in the nipples.
4. Spray paint waterer the desired color, I chose aqua blue!
5. Now screw in the nipples and wait for the paint to dry, relax for a while… If you dare!
6. Now finally fill and install the waterer in chicken pen.
This was a fun project to work on with my Dad, three times. It made watering really easier, in the winter, it kept freezing so I poured hot water into it causing it to thaw. I really had a Blast building the waterers! I need to build one more for a movable grazing pen.
